The B K/MUELLER INDS(IMPORT) 584-001HN is a close-pattern black pipe nipple in a 3/4 inch nominal pipe size. A close nipple is threaded its full length with no unthreaded center section, making it the shortest possible nipple for a given pipe size. These fittings are used to join two female-threaded fittings back-to-back or to create tight, compact connections in gas, oil, and steam piping systems. The black steel finish is standard for natural gas and propane distribution lines. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers. This nipple ships in a package quantity of 15 units.

Close nipples in 3/4 inch are common in residential and light commercial gas supply piping, including connections to valves, unions, street elbows, and tees.
