The ABB INSTALLATION PRODUCTS UA9AGB-CTN is a 1-1/4 inch Schedule 40 PVC 90 degree belled end elbow with a standard radius. It is designed for directional changes in rigid PVC conduit runs and is a standard component in raceway systems used to protect electrical conductors. The belled end design allows for direct solvent-cement joining without a separate coupler, simplifying installation. Rated for Schedule 40 wall thickness, this elbow is suitable for both exposed and concealed conduit installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this fitting.
This elbow is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical conduit systems wherever a 90 degree change of direction is required in a 1-1/4 inch PVC conduit run. It is appropriate for underground, encased, and above-grade applications that call for Schedule 40 PVC conduit. The standard radius geometry accommodates conductor pull requirements in typical branch circuit and feeder conduit layouts. This fitting is sold in a package quantity of 12 units.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 1-1/4 inch Schedule 40 PVC electrical conduit systems in standard raceway installations.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC Article 352 governing rigid PVC conduit. De-energize all circuits in the affected raceway before opening or modifying conduit runs. Solvent-cement both mating surfaces per the cement manufacturer's instructions, allowing adequate cure time before pulling conductors. Do not use threaded fittings or mechanical adapters in place of solvent-cement joints on Schedule 40 PVC unless the fitting is specifically rated for that connection method.
