The ABB INSTALLATION PRODUCTS 2536 is a liquidtight strain relief cord connector designed to secure flexible conduit and cable entries at enclosure knockouts. Built from malleable iron, this straight-body connector provides a rigid, corrosion-resistant grip on cord diameters ranging from 0.750 inches to 0.880 inches. It is used in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical installations wherever liquidtight protection is required at a cord-to-enclosure transition. Licensed electricians and maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this fitting.
This connector is suited for wet, damp, or oil-exposed environments where a sealed cord entry is required. The straight configuration makes it the correct choice when the cord enters an enclosure or junction box on a direct axis. It is commonly used with flexible metal conduit, liquidtight flexible conduit, and similarly jacketed power or control cables in panel builds, motor connections, and machine wiring applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit connector for 3/4 inch knockouts in electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and control panels accepting liquidtight strain relief cord connectors.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the enclosure before beginning work. Thread the connector body through the knockout and secure the locknut firmly against the enclosure wall to maintain the liquidtight seal. Do not overtighten to the point of cracking the malleable iron body or deforming the enclosure wall.
