The ABB INSTALLATION PRODUCTS E950FE-CTN is a PVC reducer fitting designed to connect conduit sections of different diameters. It transitions from a 1-inch male spigot end to a 3/4-inch female bell end, allowing a straight, solvent-welded reduction in a single fitting. This fitting is used in electrical conduit systems where routing requires a reduction in conduit size without additional couplings or adapters. Electricians and conduit installers rely on this type of fitting during rough-in work for both new construction and retrofit conduit runs. The all-PVC construction resists corrosion and is suited for dry, damp, and wet locations.
This reducer is appropriate for use in residential and commercial electrical conduit installations where PVC conduit is the specified raceway material. It is commonly installed in panel feeds, branch circuit conduit runs, and underground or exposed conduit systems requiring a diameter change. The bell x spigot configuration means no additional coupler is needed at the transition point, keeping the conduit run clean and compact.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with standard Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 PVC electrical conduit systems requiring a 1-inch to 3/4-inch diameter reduction.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC Article 352 governing PVC conduit. Before cutting or joining conduit, de-energize all circuits in the affected raceway. Clean and dry all mating surfaces before applying PVC solvent cement to both the spigot and bell ends. Allow adequate cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before pulling wire through the conduit.
