The ZSI CG-30 is a cushion clamp designed to support and secure pipe and tube runs in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial piping systems. It fits 3/4 inch nominal pipe size and accommodates fractional tube diameters from 7/8 inch to 1-1/8 inches. The clamp body is molded from glass filled Nylon 6, which provides rigidity, corrosion resistance, and vibration dampening without the need for a separate rubber insert. Rated for a 200 pound load capacity, the CG-30 is suitable for both horizontal and vertical pipe support applications. Licensed trades and mechanical contractors install these clamps during rough-in and finish work wherever pipe isolation and noise reduction are priorities.
The CG-30 is used in residential and light commercial mechanical systems, including HVAC refrigerant lines, copper water supply runs, and small-diameter industrial tubing. Its cushion design reduces metal-to-metal contact, limits vibration transmission to structure, and protects pipe and tube surfaces from abrasion. The clamp is particularly well suited for installations where code or design intent calls for isolated pipe support on close intervals. It is commonly found supporting lines routed through framing, along mechanical room walls, and on unistrut or pipe hanger assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard pipe support clamp for 3/4 inch nominal pipe and fractional tube sizes from 7/8 inch to 1-1/8 inches across residential and commercial mechanical piping systems.
Cushion clamps of this type are installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors. Shut off and depressurize the piping system before repositioning or replacing existing clamps on live lines. Follow IPC, IMC, or applicable local mechanical code requirements for pipe support spacing and hanger intervals. Do not overtighten fasteners against the clamp body, as the nylon material is not rated for the same torque loads as steel hardware.
