The ZOELLER ZOEL-270-0002 is a non-automatic cast iron sewage pump rated at 1 HP and 115 volts, designed for residential and light commercial sewage and effluent transfer applications. The motor runs at 3450 RPM, is oil-filled and hermetically sealed, and includes automatic reset thermal overload protection. An engineered plastic vortex impeller passes solids up to 2 inches in diameter without clogging. The pump body, motor housing, and cap are cast iron finished with a corrosion-resistant powder-coated epoxy. Stainless steel hardware and a carbon and ceramic shaft seal contribute to long service life in demanding wet-pit environments. A licensed plumber handles installation and commissioning.
This pump is suited for sewage ejector pits and effluent transfer systems in residential basements, crawl spaces, and light commercial settings. The non-automatic configuration means the pump operates without a built-in float switch, making it appropriate for installations where an external level control or separate float switch assembly is already in place. The 2-inch NPT vertical discharge accommodates standard sewage pit piping. Flow performance is rated at 132 GPM at 5 feet of head, 101 GPM at 10 feet, and 77 GPM at 15 feet, with a shutoff head of 29 feet.
Designed as an OEM-style sewage pump for residential and light commercial sewage ejector pit installations requiring a non-automatic 1 HP cast iron pump with a 2-inch NPT vertical discharge.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off power to the circuit at the breaker panel before lowering the pump into the pit or making any electrical connections. Because this is a manual pump with no integrated float switch, an external level control must be installed and verified before energizing the unit. Maximum operating temperature for the pumped liquid is 130 degrees F; do not use with fluids exceeding this limit.
