The ZOELLER BN153 is a 0.5 HP submersible high head effluent pump built for reliable wastewater transfer in residential and light commercial applications. Constructed with a cast iron housing and protected by a corrosion-resistant powder-coated epoxy finish, this pump is engineered for demanding wet environments. The motor runs at 3450 RPM, is oil-filled, hermetically sealed, and includes automatic reset thermal overload protection. Carbon and ceramic shaft seals combined with an upper sleeve bearing and lower ball bearing deliver long service life. Every unit is 100% pressure-tested, submerged, and run at the factory before shipment.

The BN153 is designed for septic system effluent transfer, low pressure pipe (LPP) systems, enhanced flow STEP systems, and light commercial dewatering tasks involving groundwater or effluent. The non-clogging engineered thermoplastic vortex impeller handles effluent without binding. A piggyback float switch allows the pump to operate independently or in conjunction with an external control panel, giving installers flexible wiring options on the job.
