The ZIRCON 61981 is a handheld stud finder designed for locating wood and metal studs, joists, and other structural members concealed behind drywall and similar wall surfaces. It scans up to 1.5 inches deep using ZIRCON's DeepScan mode and displays results on an easy-to-read LCD screen. The SpotLite Pointing System projects a beam directly onto the wall surface to mark stud location without guesswork. Wire Warning Detection alerts the user to the presence of live AC wiring in the scan path. Weighing 0.45 pounds and measuring 6.07 inches tall by 2.68 inches wide by 1.12 inches deep, the tool is compact enough for single-hand operation. Powered by a single 9V alkaline battery, not included.
