The ZIRCON 61899 is an electronic stud finder designed to detect and locate studs and joists through drywall and similar wall surfaces. It operates using edge-finding and DeepScan mode technology to identify stud edges and centers at depths up to 1.5 inches. The unit features a patented SpotLite Pointing System that projects a beam onto the wall surface to mark stud location, and red LED indicators provide visual confirmation. An audio alert adds an additional signal during detection. The 61899 runs on a single 9-volt alkaline battery, not included. It is a hand-carried, single-user tool suited for contractors, carpenters, electricians, and plumbers who need to locate framing before fastening, drilling, or routing.
