The Z-FLEX 2SVSA05 is a 5-inch universal appliance adaptor designed for horizontal vent exhaust applications on Category III stainless steel venting systems. It connects the appliance collar directly to Z-Vent single-wall pipe using female connections on both ends. Constructed from AL 29-4C stainless steel with fusion-welded pipe seams and factory-installed gaskets, the 2SVSA05 is rated for use with natural gas and liquid propane appliances where flue gas temperatures at the appliance outlet do not exceed 550 degrees F. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers install this component as part of a compliant vent system on high-efficiency gas appliances.
This adaptor is suited for residential and commercial horizontal venting installations on Category II, III, and IV gas-burning appliances. Typical applications include unit heaters, high-efficiency gas furnaces, and gas water heaters that require single-wall Category III stainless steel venting. The 2SVSA05 accepts Z-Vent pipe on each end, allowing field technicians to transition from the appliance collar into the main vent run without additional fittings or sealants. It is intended for use where the vent system requires a tight, pressure-rated connection at the appliance.
Compatible with Category II, III, and IV natural gas and liquid propane appliances including unit heaters, high-efficiency gas furnaces, and gas water heaters that use Category III stainless steel single-wall venting. Designed for use with Z-Vent pipe and fittings in horizontal venting configurations.
Installation must be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or plumber in accordance with local mechanical codes and the appliance manufacturer instructions. Shut off gas supply and allow the appliance to cool completely before beginning any venting work. Maintain a minimum 3-inch clearance to combustibles throughout the vent run. Always verify local code requirements before installing any vented appliance or vent system component.
