The Z-FLEX 2SVEEWC0590 is a 5-inch, single-wall, 90-degree rigid elbow vent pipe constructed from Category III stainless steel. Designed for horizontal vent exhaust applications, this elbow allows technicians to route flue gas around obstructions and make direction changes in vent runs without sealant. The pipe features fusion-welded seams and gasketed connections for an airtight fit. Rated to UL 1738 and AL 29-4C, it is engineered for use with Category II, III, and IV gas-burning appliances where vent gas temperature at the appliance outlet does not exceed 550 degrees F. Licensed HVAC technicians and gas appliance installers are the primary trade installing this component.
This elbow is suited for residential and commercial horizontal venting of high-efficiency gas appliances, including unit heaters, high-efficiency furnaces, and gas water heaters. It handles both natural gas and liquid propane fuel types. Because of its gasketed, fusion-welded construction, no field-applied sealant is required, eliminating cure time and reducing callback risk. The Category III stainless steel construction handles the condensing flue gas conditions common in high-efficiency appliance installations.
Engineered for use with Category II, III, and IV gas-burning appliances only, including unit heaters, high-efficiency furnaces, and high-efficiency gas water heaters using single-wall Category III stainless steel piping systems. Compatible with natural gas and liquid propane fuel types.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or qualified gas appliance installer in accordance with local mechanical codes and the appliance manufacturer's venting instructions. Shut off gas supply and power to the appliance before beginning any vent work. Maintain a minimum clearance of 3 inches to combustibles throughout the vent run. Always verify local code requirements before installing or modifying any vented appliance system.
