The YOUNGSTOWN 11-3285-60-XXL is a pair of arc flash and flame resistant waterproof gloves designed for electrical workers and tradespeople operating in high-hazard environments. Built from leather with a Kevlar lining, these gloves deliver a maximum arc flash protection rating of 50.5 cal/cm, meeting HRC 4 requirements under NFPA 70E. They carry an ANSI/ISEA Cut Resistance Level A4 rating and an Abrasion Resistance Level 5 rating. The waterproof construction keeps hands dry during wet-condition work, while the flame resistant materials help limit burn injury in arc flash events. A safety cuff style provides additional wrist and forearm coverage. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians performing energized electrical work are the primary installers and users of this product.
These gloves are suited for energized electrical work in residential, commercial, and industrial settings where NFPA 70E arc flash PPE requirements apply. They are appropriate for tasks at the boundary of electrical panels, switchgear, motor control centers, and other energized equipment where an arc flash hazard analysis has identified HRC 4 exposure. The size 2XL fit accommodates larger hands while maintaining dexterity needed for equipment operation and tool use.
Designed as an arc flash PPE glove meeting NFPA 70E and ASTM F2302 standards, suitable for use in any HRC 4 arc flash boundary work environment where compliant hand protection is required.
Arc flash gloves must be selected and worn in accordance with a site-specific arc flash hazard analysis performed per NFPA 70E. Always inspect gloves for cuts, punctures, or contamination before each use and remove from service if damage is found. Energized electrical work must be performed only by qualified electricians following an established energized electrical work permit process. These gloves are PPE, not a substitute for proper lockout/tagout procedures when de-energization is feasible.
