The YELLOW JACKET 63336 is an alloy bending mandrel sized for 7/8-inch tubing, designed to produce smooth and consistent bends in refrigerant and HVAC copper lines. The mandrel slides into a compatible tube bender to support the tube wall from the inside during forming, preventing kinking, flattening, or cracking. Color-coded for fast size identification on the job, it is a standard hand-tool accessory used by HVAC and refrigeration technicians when routing linesets and making field connections.
This mandrel is suited for use in residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration applications where 7/8-inch OD tubing must be bent to a specific angle without compromising tube integrity. Technicians reach for this tool when forming bends in suction lines, liquid lines, or other refrigerant-grade tubing during system installation or retrofit work. It is compatible with tube benders that accept mandrel-style inserts of the corresponding size.
Designed for use with tube benders that accept 7/8-inch mandrel-style inserts for forming refrigerant-grade copper tubing.
Installation of refrigerant lines containing bent tubing should be performed by EPA Section 608 certified HVAC technicians. Recover all refrigerant and isolate the system before cutting or modifying any lines. Use the mandrel only with a compatible tube bender and ensure the mandrel is properly seated before applying bending force. Inspect the bent section after forming to confirm roundness and freedom from kinks before connecting to system components.
