Installation should be performed by a qualified locksmith or licensed contractor following the door hardware manufacturer instructions and applicable local building codes. Before servicing or replacing an existing lockset, confirm the door is secured in the open position and that the door assembly is compatible with fire-rated hardware where required by code. Use a standard hole saw kit sized to the existing or required bore for the lock body and latch. Verify backset measurement at 2-3/4 inches from the door edge to the center of the bore before installation.
