The XTRWELD WTE3156 is a ground E3 tungsten electrode designed for TIG welding applications. Identified by its purple color code, this electrode meets AWS A5.12 specification and measures 5/32 inches in diameter by 7 inches in length. E3 electrodes are known for their versatile arc performance across both AC and DC welding processes, making them a widely used option for professional welders working on a range of base metals. Each pack contains 10 electrodes, giving technicians a ready supply for continuous shop or field work. The ground finish provides a consistent surface for reliable arc starts and stable arc characteristics throughout the weld cycle.
This electrode is suited for use in professional welding environments including fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and industrial manufacturing settings. It is compatible with standard TIG welding torches and works across a variety of material types including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and other weldable alloys where E3 electrode chemistry is appropriate. The 5/32-inch diameter is a common size for mid-range amperage applications.
Designed for use with standard TIG welding torches and equipment accepting 5/32-inch diameter tungsten electrodes where E3-type chemistry is specified per AWS A5.12.
Tungsten electrode preparation and replacement should be performed by a qualified welder or welding technician. Ensure the welding machine is powered off and the torch is cool before replacing electrodes. Follow your torch manufacturer guidelines for proper electrode extension and collet torque. Adhere to applicable AWS and shop safety standards when handling and grinding tungsten electrodes.
