The XTRWELD CYLDSG580-300 is a high-pressure steel gas cylinder rated for 300 cubic feet of inert gas storage. Constructed from 4130 chromoly steel (CrMo) and built to DOT-3AA and TC specifications, this cylinder is engineered for demanding industrial and trade applications. It ships with a standard valve and features a CGA 580 outlet connection, which is the industry-standard fitting for non-flammable, non-oxidizing inert gases such as argon, nitrogen, and helium. Working pressure is rated at 2,265 psig. The cylinder arrives painted gray and is sold individually.
This cylinder is suited for professional welding operations, purging and pressure testing in plumbing and HVAC applications, inert gas blanketing, and laboratory or industrial gas supply systems where a large-capacity, high-pressure vessel is required. The CGA 580 valve connection ensures compatibility with regulators and equipment designed for inert gas service. Its large 300 cubic foot capacity reduces cylinder change frequency in high-consumption work environments, making it practical for shop or field use by welders, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians.
Designed for use with CGA 580 regulators and inert gas service equipment. Suitable for argon, nitrogen, helium, and other non-flammable, non-oxidizing inert gases in welding, HVAC, plumbing, and industrial gas supply applications.
Cylinders must be secured upright in an appropriate cylinder stand or chained to a fixed support during use and storage, per standard compressed gas handling practices. Always shut off the cylinder valve and bleed downstream pressure before connecting or disconnecting regulators. Use only CGA 580-compatible regulators and fittings — do not use adapters to connect equipment rated for other gas services. Cylinder handling and transport should comply with applicable DOT regulations and Compressed Gas Association guidelines.
