The XTRWELD CYLDSG580-20 is a high-pressure steel gas cylinder designed for storage and transport of inert gases in professional welding, fabrication, and industrial service environments. Built to DOT-3AA specification, the cylinder is constructed from 4130 chromoly steel (CrMo) and rated for a working pressure of 2,015 psig. It comes equipped with a standard CGA 580 valve, the industry-standard fitting for non-flammable, non-oxidizing gases such as argon, nitrogen, and helium. The cylinder has a capacity of 20 cubic feet and ships with a gray paint finish for easy identification in a shop or service setting.
This cylinder is suited for light industrial, welding shop, and trade service applications where a compact inert gas supply is required. Common uses include TIG welding shielding gas supply, pressure testing, purging gas lines, and laboratory or HVAC nitrogen service. The 20 cubic foot capacity makes it practical for mobile service rigs and bench setups where a full-size cylinder is not needed. It weighs 12.3 pounds empty, making it manageable for a single technician to transport and secure.
Designed for use with CGA 580-compatible regulators and fittings used in inert gas service. The CGA 580 connection is the standard outlet for non-flammable, non-oxidizing compressed gases in North American trade and industrial applications.
Always secure the cylinder upright in an approved cylinder stand or wall bracket before attaching a regulator. Inspect the CGA 580 valve and regulator connection for damage or debris before each use. Never use oil or grease on valve fittings, and always open the cylinder valve slowly to avoid pressure surges. Compliance with DOT and local compressed gas handling regulations is required during storage, transport, and use.
