The XTRWELD 7488 is an OEM-quality MIG contact tip manufactured to Bernard style specifications for use with Bernard BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun MIG welding guns. Sized at 0.030 inches, this tip controls wire feed alignment and arc stability at the point of welding. Each bag contains 10 tips, making it a practical stock item for professional welding shops and field service crews. The tips are marked with the part number and size for fast identification during changeovers, reducing downtime on active jobs.
This contact tip is suited for production welding environments, fabrication shops, and contractor operations running Bernard-platform MIG guns. It serves as a direct replacement for Bernard traditional consumable tips and is cross-compatible as a full-system replacement for Bernard Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S series consumables. These series are not intermixable with one another, but the 7488 can serve as a complete drop-in replacement within any one of those systems. Welders working in automotive, structural, and general fabrication applications will find this tip fits standard workflow needs.
Designed for use with Bernard BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun MIG welding guns. Functions as a full-system replacement for Bernard Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S series consumable tips. Note that these tip series are not intermixable with each other, but the 7488 can replace any one series entirely. Contact tip replacement is performed by qualified welders or MIG gun service technicians. Always power down the welding machine and allow the gun neck to cool before removing a worn tip. Use the appropriate tip wrench or pliers to unthread the old tip and thread in the replacement — do not overtighten, as this can restrict wire feed or damage the tip seat. Inspect the gas diffuser and nozzle for spatter buildup during each tip change.
