The XTRWELD 1593 is a standard contact tip built to Bernard 1500 Series dimensions for use with 3/32 inch wire. Contact tips thread into the nozzle assembly of a MIG welding gun and guide the wire to the arc while transferring welding current. This tip features a 0.309 inch bore diameter sized to match 3/32 inch solid or flux-core wire. It is manufactured to OEM-equivalent tolerances and marked with the part number and size for quick identification in the field. Welding technicians and fabricators install these as routine consumables during MIG gun maintenance.
This contact tip is designed for Bernard-style BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun MIG welding guns. It is compatible with Bernard traditional consumable setups and can serve as a full replacement for Bernard Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S Series contact tips, though those series are not mixable with one another. Typical applications include production welding, structural fabrication, and maintenance welding environments where 3/32 inch wire is the standard feed diameter. Sold individually, this tip suits shops that replace consumables one at a time based on wear.
Designed for use with Bernard BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun MIG welding guns using 3/32 inch wire. Compatible as a full replacement for Bernard traditional, Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S Series contact tips. Note that these consumable series are not mixable with each other but this tip can substitute for any one of them as a complete replacement.
Contact tip replacement is a routine task performed by welding technicians during MIG gun maintenance. Power down the welding machine and allow the gun to cool before handling consumables. Thread the contact tip in by hand until snug, then tighten with a contact tip wrench — avoid over-tightening, which can cause thread damage or difficulty removing the tip after heat cycling. Inspect the nozzle and liner for wear or spatter buildup whenever a contact tip is replaced.
