The XTRWELD 1592 is a standard contact tip designed for MIG welding applications using 5/64 inch wire. It follows the Bernard 1500 Series style and measures 0.309 inches in diameter. This tip threads into compatible MIG gun necks and serves as a wear item replaced during routine torch maintenance. Welding technicians, fabricators, and maintenance welders install and swap these tips as part of normal gun upkeep. The tip is marked with its part number and size, making field identification quick during changeouts.
This contact tip is suited for production welding, fabrication shops, and maintenance environments where Bernard-style 1500 Series consumables are in use. It is designed for use with Bernard BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun torches. Because it follows the standard 1500 Series profile, it can serve as a full replacement for Bernard Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S Series consumables in compatible guns. These series are not cross-mixable within a single gun setup but function as complete drop-in replacements when switching over entirely.
Designed for use with Bernard BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun MIG torches using the 1500 Series consumable platform. Functions as a full replacement for Bernard Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S Series contact tips in compatible gun configurations. These consumable series are not mixable within the same torch setup.
Contact tips are installed and removed by hand or with a contact tip wrench after the MIG welder is powered down and the wire feeder is disabled. Inspect the torch neck threads before installing a new tip to avoid cross-threading. Overtightening can deform the tip and affect wire feed; snug by hand or with light tool contact is standard practice. Replace tips when the bore shows visible wear, elongation, or spatter buildup that affects arc consistency.
