The XTRWELD 1591 is a standard contact tip designed for MIG welding applications using 1/16-inch wire. Built to Bernard style 1500 Series specifications, this tip fits into Bernard-compatible MIG gun setups and delivers consistent electrical contact between the wire and the welding circuit. The tip measures 0.309 inches in diameter and weighs 0.44 pounds per pack. Each tip is marked with the part number or wire size for fast identification at the machine. Welding professionals installing or replacing consumables will find this a direct fit in compatible gun configurations.
This contact tip is intended for use with Bernard BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun MIG welding guns. It is designed as an OEM-quality interchangeable replacement for Bernard traditional consumables. Bernard Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S series consumables can be fully replaced by this style, though the series types are not mixable with each other. Typical applications include production welding, fabrication shops, and maintenance welding environments where consistent wire feed and reliable contact are critical.
Designed for use with Bernard BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun MIG welding guns. Functions as a full replacement for Bernard traditional consumables including Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S series styles. Note that different consumable series are not mixable within the same gun setup but can be used as complete replacements.
Contact tip replacement is a standard task performed by welding technicians during routine gun maintenance or when tip wear affects arc quality. Always power down the welder and allow the gun to cool before removing a worn tip. Use the correct tip wrench or pliers to avoid cross-threading when installing the new tip. Inspect the gas diffuser and nozzle for wear at the same time to ensure the full consumable assembly is in serviceable condition.
