The XTRWELD 1589 is a Bernard 1500 Series style contact tip designed for MIG welding wire with a 0.035 inch diameter. It threads into compatible MIG gun necks and provides the electrical contact point that transfers welding current to the wire as it feeds through. The tip body measures 0.309 inches in diameter and is manufactured to OEM-equivalent tolerances, ensuring consistent wire feed and stable arc performance. Welding professionals and fabricators use this tip as a direct-replacement consumable in standard MIG welding operations.
This contact tip is suited for use with Bernard BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun MIG torches. It is compatible with Bernard traditional consumable series and is designed as an interchangeable replacement for Bernard Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S Series consumable setups. Note that these series are not mixable within a single setup but this tip can serve as a full-system replacement when switching over entirely. The tip is marked with its part number and wire size for fast field identification during consumable changes.
Designed for use with Bernard BTB, S-Gun, and W-Gun MIG torches using the Bernard 1500 Series consumable platform. Functions as a full replacement for Bernard Centerfire, Quick Tip, AccuLock, and S Series contact tips when a complete consumable-system changeover is performed. These series are not cross-mixable within a single torch setup.
Contact tip replacement is a routine consumable task performed by welders and welding technicians. Always power down the welding machine and allow the MIG gun to cool before removing a worn tip. Use the appropriate tip wrench or pliers to avoid cross-threading when seating the replacement tip. Inspect the liner and diffuser for wear at each tip change to prevent premature tip failure.
