The XTRWELD 14T-52 is a tapered MIG welding contact tip designed for use with Tweco-style MIG guns rated from 180A to 450A. It accepts 0.052-inch wire and features a 0.250-inch outer diameter body. The tip is part of the 14T series, which uses a tapered profile to seat securely in compatible Tweco-style torch necks. This consumable is installed by MIG welders and fabricators during routine torch maintenance or wire changeovers. Each tip is marked with its part number and wire size for fast identification at the machine.
The 14T-52 is suited for production welding environments where higher-amperage MIG guns are in service. The tapered design is common in industrial fabrication, structural steel, and heavy manufacturing applications. It is compatible with Tweco-style guns including Classic, Eliminator, Weldskill, Spray Master, Smoke Master, and Supra series torches in the 180A to 450A range. This tip is sold individually and is a direct OEM-quality replacement for standard Tweco 14T-series consumables.
Compatible with Tweco-style MIG guns rated 180A to 450A, including Classic, Eliminator, Weldskill, Spray Master, Smoke Master, and Supra series torches. Designed as an OEM-style replacement for Tweco 14T-series tapered contact tips in 0.052-inch wire size.
Contact tips are replaced by the welding operator or maintenance technician as a standard torch consumable. Power down and disconnect the MIG gun from the welder before removing or installing a contact tip. Use the correct tip wrench or pliers to avoid cross-threading; hand-tight plus a snug quarter-turn is the general practice for tapered tips. Inspect the gas diffuser and nozzle for wear at the same time to maintain consistent weld quality.
