The XANTUS PRODUCTS 30-101 is a refrigerant leak sealant formulated for injection into air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Marketed under the Max Seal XL4 product line, this sealant is designed to seal leaks within the refrigerant circuit without causing damage to system components. It includes an integrated UV dye to aid in detecting larger leak sources during inspection. It is compatible with all refrigerant types and lubricating oils, making it a practical option for HVAC technicians servicing a wide variety of systems. This product is manufactured in the USA.
This sealant is used in residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems where minor refrigerant leaks have been identified or are suspected. It is injected directly into the refrigerant circuit and is intended for use by licensed HVAC technicians as part of a leak diagnosis and remediation workflow. The included UV dye assists in pinpointing leak locations when used with a UV inspection light, providing additional diagnostic value beyond leak sealing alone.
Designed for use with all refrigerant types and oils in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including systems equipped with TXV metering devices, capillary tubes, and piston-style metering components.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician familiar with refrigerant handling procedures in accordance with EPA Section 608 regulations. Before injecting the sealant, verify system operating pressures and confirm the leak location as thoroughly as possible using the integrated UV dye and a suitable UV light source. Follow the manufacturer injection procedure and use appropriate manifold gauges and injection equipment. Do not inject into a system with severely depleted refrigerant charge without first identifying and assessing the leak source.
