The WOODS 14W47 is a watertight straight blade plug rated for 125 volts and 15 amps in a NEMA 5-15P configuration. Built from Neotex Paracril Ozo Rubber with a silicone husk and cord grip body, it delivers a durable, chemical-resistant seal in demanding wet environments. The 2-pole, 3-wire design handles standard single-phase loads while the enclosure rating spans NEMA 1/3/4/4X/5/6/6P/12 and IP55 through IP67, making it suitable for washdown, submersion-risk, and outdoor applications. Electricians and maintenance technicians install this plug where standard plugs would fail due to moisture, contaminants, or temperature extremes. The yellow color provides quick visual identification in industrial and commercial settings.
This plug is intended for use in wet and corrosive environments including food processing facilities, commercial kitchens, agricultural operations, and outdoor installations where NEMA 5-15P receptacles are present. Its broad NEMA and IP enclosure ratings make it a fit for general industrial, commercial, and institutional wiring applications. The temperature rating of -40 to 75 degrees C extends its use into cold storage and refrigerated environments as well as moderate high-heat locations. NSF approval supports its use in food-zone and sanitary areas.
Designed for use with NEMA 5-15R receptacles in watertight and corrosive-environment wiring applications. Compatible with cord grip body size F2 per catalog description. Suitable for use in any installation requiring a watertight NEMA 5-15P plug with broad NEMA and IP-rated enclosure performance.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit completely before disassembling or wiring the plug. Ensure the cord grip is properly torqued to maintain the watertight seal after wiring. Do not exceed the 15-amp or 125-volt ratings, and verify that the enclosure rating selected matches the specific environmental exposure of the installation site.
