The WOODFORD 22px-4-mh is a freezeless anti-siphon wall faucet designed for year-round hot and cold water delivery in both irrigation and cleaning applications. Built for a 4-inch wall thickness, it accepts 1/2-inch PEX crimp connections for both hot and cold supply lines, allowing manual temperature blending at the point of use. A patented pressure relief valve prevents burst damage in freezing conditions even when a hose is accidentally left connected. An integral backflow protection device provides built-in cross-contamination protection, eliminating the need for a separate add-on vacuum breaker. Rated to 125 psi and a maximum temperature of 120 degrees F, this faucet is suited for demanding residential and light commercial installations.
The 22px-4-mh is intended for exterior wall installations where both hot and cold water supply is available and year-round operation is required regardless of outside temperature. Typical applications include equipment washdown stations, outdoor utility areas, greenhouses, and irrigation setups where temperature control at the hose bib is necessary. The separate hot and cold inlet tubes allow the installer to connect to existing supply lines individually, supporting controlled blending without cross-contamination risk.
Designed for installation in walls with 4-inch thickness and compatible with 1/2-inch PEX crimp supply connections for both hot and cold inlets. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new installation wall faucet where freezeless anti-siphon performance is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off both hot and cold water supply lines before beginning work and depressurize the system before making PEX crimp connections. Use a calibrated PEX crimp tool sized for 1/2-inch fittings to ensure a proper seal. Do not exceed the rated maximum pressure or temperature during operation.
