The WISS W22N is a heavy-duty shear built for cutting composite materials, fabrics, and upholstery in demanding trade and shop environments. The blades are hot drop-forged, nickel-plated, and precision-ground to deliver sharper cutting edges and longer blade life compared to standard shears. An offset handle style with an inlaid grip reduces wrist fatigue during extended cutting sessions. Overall length is 12.5 inches with a 6-inch length of cut, giving the user a generous cutting stroke for wide material passes. The SET-EASY pivot adjustment lets the operator dial in blade tension quickly and securely to match material thickness and personal preference. At 1.2 pounds, the W22N is substantial enough to handle heavy textiles without feeling unmanageable.
The W22N is well suited for upholstery shops, HVAC duct lining work, and fabrication environments where composite materials and dense fabrics are cut regularly. The offset handle positions the cutting hand above the work surface, which is particularly useful when shearing flat material laid on a table. Tradspeople working with fiberglass duct liner, acoustic insulation wrap, and heavy fabric panels will find the longer blade and precision-ground edges effective for clean, straight cuts without fraying or tearing.
Designed for cutting composite materials, fabrics, and upholstery; suitable for HVAC duct lining, insulation wrap, and upholstery fabrication applications where a heavy-duty inlaid shear is required.
No power source or lockout procedure is required for hand-tool shears. Keep fingers clear of the blade path during use and store with the blades closed or with a blade guard in place. Use the SET-EASY pivot to adjust blade tension before cutting; over-tightening the pivot can cause blade binding and premature wear. Inspect blade edges and pivot fastener condition regularly and re-sharpen or replace blades when cutting performance degrades.
