The WISS M8OS is an offset aviation snip designed for straight cuts in light-gauge sheet metal. With an 11-inch overall length and a 3-inch cutting length, this snip handles 18 AWG steel and 18-gauge stainless steel with controlled, consistent cuts. The offset blade geometry keeps knuckles clear of the work surface, reducing hand fatigue on repetitive cuts. The ergonomic yellow handle provides a secure grip and meets the color-coding convention used by sheet metal and HVAC trades to identify straight-cut tools. This snip is built for HVAC installers, sheet metal mechanics, and duct fabricators working with light-gauge materials in the field or shop.
The M8OS is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC ductwork fabrication, sheet metal trim work, and any application requiring clean straight cuts in light-gauge steel or stainless steel. The offset design is especially useful when cutting flat stock laid on a work surface, where a standard inline snip would force the hand into the material. HVAC service technicians also use this tool for cutting sheet metal patches and fitting transitions on-site.
Designed for straight cuts in light-gauge sheet metal, including 18 AWG steel and 18-gauge stainless steel, as used in HVAC ductwork fabrication and sheet metal applications.
Sheet metal mechanics and HVAC installers should wear cut-resistant gloves when working with sheet metal edges. Power down any associated HVAC equipment before cutting or fitting ductwork in-place. Inspect blades before use and do not use the snip on material gauges heavier than rated capacity, as this can damage the cutting edges and reduce tool life.
