The cap seats over the exposed RJ45 port to block dust, debris, and accidental disconnection during rough-in, testing, or storage. It is color-coded green for fast port identification and zone labeling on patch panels, keystone jacks, and structured wiring enclosures. Installation Notes

No tools are required to seat or remove an RJ45 dust cap. Press the cap firmly onto the RJ45 port until it seats; remove by pulling straight back. Caps should be removed before inserting a patch cable to avoid damaging the connector latch.
