The WIREMOLD V2400B is a raceway base designed to anchor surface-mounted wire management runs to walls, ceilings, or other structural surfaces. It serves as the foundation channel for a complete raceway assembly, securing cables and conductors in commercial and residential electrical installations. At 60.5 inches in length, this base accommodates long continuous runs without mid-span joints. Licensed electricians and low-voltage technicians install this component as part of a two-piece raceway system that keeps wiring accessible, organized, and compliant with applicable electrical codes.
The V2400B raceway base is suited for surface wiring applications where concealed or in-wall routing is not feasible or practical. Typical installations include office buildouts, data and communication cable runs, classroom AV wiring, and retrofit electrical work in existing structures. The base is installed first, cables are laid in, and a matching cover snaps or fastens over the top to complete the enclosure. It is appropriate for both horizontal and vertical wall runs.
Designed as an OEM-style base component for the WIREMOLD V2400 series surface raceway system. Pair with corresponding V2400 series covers, couplings, and fittings for a complete installation.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for surface metal or nonmetallic raceways. De-energize all circuits in the work area before routing or terminating conductors within the raceway. Fasten the base to the mounting surface at intervals recommended by local code, then dress cables before applying the cover. Avoid over-filling the raceway channel beyond the fill capacity specified for the V2400 series.
