The WIRE 4strthhn is a 4 AWG THHN stranded copper wire rated for general wiring in conduit and raceway systems. Insulated with PVC and jacketed in nylon, this wire handles up to 600 volts and is rated at 90 degrees C in dry environments. The 19-strand conductor provides flexibility during pull-through, making it practical for commercial and residential branch circuit work. This reel delivers 500 feet of continuous conductor. Ampacity is 70 amps at 60 degrees C, 85 amps at 75 degrees C, and 100 amps at 90 degrees C, depending on conduit fill and ambient conditions per applicable code.
This wire is suited for use in dry locations where THHN-rated conductors are required by the NEC. Typical applications include branch circuit feeders, panel feeds, motor circuits, and equipment wiring in commercial, industrial, and residential installations. The 500-foot reel format is standard for conduit pulls on larger jobs where minimizing splices matters. The black insulation color is commonly used for line-side conductors in standard electrical wiring practice.
Designed as a standard THHN-rated conductor for use in conduit, wireways, and cable trays where 4 AWG copper wire is specified per NEC requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out all circuits before connecting or terminating conductors. Verify conduit fill calculations and ampacity derating factors before sizing this wire for a specific circuit. Do not exceed the conductor temperature rating for the termination points used.
