The WINTERS PFQ809 is a glycerine-filled analog pressure gauge designed for accurate pressure monitoring in demanding industrial and mechanical service environments. It features a 2.5-inch dial with a 0 to 1000 PSI pressure range and delivers 1.5% of scale accuracy. The stainless steel case provides corrosion resistance, while brass wetted parts offer reliable compatibility with a wide range of common fluids and gases. The glycerine fill dampens needle vibration, extending gauge service life in high-pulsation or vibration-prone systems. Installation is via a lower-mount, 0.25-inch threaded connection. Licensed plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical contractors are the typical installers for this type of instrument.
The PFQ809 is suited for residential and light commercial applications including HVAC systems, plumbing pressure monitoring, compressed air lines, water supply systems, and hydraulic circuits where consistent, readable pressure indication is required. Its 2.5-inch dial face provides clear readability in panel or inline installations. The glycerine-filled design makes it a preferred choice in applications subject to pump pulsation, mechanical vibration, or pressure spikes that would otherwise cause needle flutter and accelerated wear on dry gauges.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation pressure gauge suitable for HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, and general mechanical systems requiring a lower-mount, 0.25-inch threaded, 2.5-inch dial glycerine-filled pressure gauge rated to 1000 PSI.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified mechanical contractor. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing an existing gauge or installing this unit. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on the threaded connection and tighten to hand-tight plus wrench-snug — do not over-torque brass fittings. Verify the system pressure range does not exceed the gauge maximum rating before returning the system to service.
