The WINTERS pfq803lf is a liquid-filled, lead-free pressure gauge designed for water pressure measurement in applications where vibration and pulsation are constant concerns. The glycerin-filled 304 stainless steel case dampens needle flutter, allowing for steady, accurate readings at plus or minus 1.50 percent full scale. The Bourdon tube sensing element and all wetted parts are constructed from lead-free brass and phosphor bronze, making this gauge suitable for potable water and low-lead compliance requirements. The 2-1/2 inch dial displays dual-scale readings in psi and kPa, with a white aluminum face and black aluminum pointer for clear visibility. The bottom 1/4 in NPT male connection allows for direct stem-mount installation.
This gauge is well suited for water treatment plants, pump stations, and plumbing systems where motors and pumps generate continuous vibration. The liquid-filled case and silicone bezel gasket provide IP65 and NEMA 4 environmental protection, making it appropriate for wet or washdown environments. The PFQ-LF series is commonly installed by licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians on pressure monitoring points along distribution and treatment lines. The removable bezel and included vent plug add flexibility for field service.
Designed as a universal OEM-style replacement or new-installation pressure gauge for residential and commercial water treatment, plumbing, and pump systems requiring lead-free wetted components and vibration resistance.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or water treatment technician. Shut off system pressure and relieve line pressure fully before removing or installing the gauge. Apply thread sealant appropriate for water service to the 1/4 in NPT male connection and hand-tighten before using a wrench to avoid overtightening the brass socket. Verify that operating conditions remain within the rated temperature range of -4 degrees F to 150 degrees F and do not exceed the 25 percent over-pressure limit of the gauge.
