The WINTERS PEM1440 is an economy-grade analog pressure gauge designed for monitoring system pressure in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial applications. It features a 2.5-inch dial with a dual-scale display and a pressure range of 0 to 160 psi. The gauge uses a 1/4-inch NPT center back mount connection, making it a common fit for panel installations and inline service points. Accuracy is rated at 3-2-3 percent of scale per ANSI/ASME Grade B standards. The steel case and brass wetted parts provide durable, corrosion-resistant construction suited for standard water and air service environments. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors are the primary installers.
The PEM1440 is suited for residential and light commercial installations where a cost-effective, reliable pressure gauge is needed. Typical applications include water supply monitoring, compressed air systems, boiler loop pressure checks, and general fluid system diagnostics. The no-fill design and acrylic lens keep weight and cost low while still meeting ASME B40.100 accuracy requirements. The gauge also carries CRN, IP52, and NSF-61-372 certifications, making it appropriate for potable water system monitoring where NSF compliance is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation economy pressure gauge for plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial systems requiring a 1/4-inch NPT center back mount connection with a 0 to 160 psi range.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Shut down system pressure and depressurize the line completely before removing an existing gauge or threading in this unit. Apply appropriate thread sealant tape to the NPT threads and do not overtighten, as brass fittings can be damaged by excessive torque. Follow applicable IPC and IFGC code requirements for gauge placement and system pressure testing.
