The WINTERS PAM1700 is an analog pressure gauge designed for industrial and mechanical system monitoring applications. It features a 2.5-inch dial with a compound pressure range of 30 to 0 to 300 psi, allowing measurement of both vacuum and positive pressure from a single instrument. The steel case and steel wetted parts provide durable construction suited for dry, non-corrosive media. The lower-mount configuration accepts a 1/4-inch threaded connection for direct inline or panel installation. With a 3-2-3 percent of scale accuracy rating, this gauge delivers reliable readings across its full range. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors install this type of gauge for system diagnostics, pressure testing, and continuous process monitoring.
The PAM1700 is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a compact, dry-fill analog gauge is needed. Common install scenarios include boiler systems, compressed air lines, water supply lines, pump discharge monitoring, and HVAC refrigerant-adjacent pressure monitoring on secondary circuits. The lower-mount port orientation allows direct connection to pipe fittings, manifolds, or test ports without additional adapter runs. Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or pipefitter. Shut off system pressure and relieve any residual pressure in the line before removing an existing gauge or making a new connection. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before installation and hand-tighten before using a wrench to avoid cracking the gauge socket. Verify the pressure range of the gauge is appropriate for the system being monitored before placing the gauge in service.
