The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWXFN-2836 is a flare nut wrench designed to grip hex fittings on pipes and tubing without marring the fitting surface. It features a 7/8 inch by 1-1/8 inch opening and an overall length of 10.5 inches. The wrench carries a satin-chrome textured finish that improves grip during use. Recessed corners in the box ends increase torque transfer, reducing the risk of rounding fasteners. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics use this wrench when working on flare fittings and compression connections where standard open-end wrenches risk damaging the fitting. It meets ANSI B107.6 federal specifications.
This flare nut wrench is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration service work. It is commonly used when loosening or tightening flare nuts on refrigerant lines, gas supply tubing, and water supply connections. The enclosed box-end profile keeps the wrench engaged on the fitting throughout the turn, which is especially useful in confined spaces around equipment cabinets and wall connections. Each unit is sold individually.
Designed as an OEM-style service wrench for use on flare fittings and compression fittings found in residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.
Flare nut wrenches are typically used by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics. Before loosening any fitting on a refrigerant or gas line, shut off the system and isolate or recover refrigerant per EPA Section 608 requirements or close the manual gas shutoff valve per applicable IFGC guidelines. Do not use this wrench with a pipe extension or cheater bar, as doing so may damage the wrench or the fitting.
