The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWRFW-14 is a SAE flare nut wrench engineered for use on tube fittings, compression fittings, valves, and fasteners in plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration applications. The wrench features high carbon steel jaws that snap open and then close around the fastener with six-point contact, reducing the risk of rounding or distorting thin-walled fittings. The unique ratcheting jaw design requires only 30 degrees of rotation to engage, making it well-suited for confined spaces where a standard box wrench cannot complete a full swing. The 7/16 inch jaw opening fits standard SAE flare fittings and the overall length is 5-3/8 inches.
This wrench is used in residential and light commercial service work wherever soft copper or thin-walled tube fittings are present. Typical applications include refrigerant line connections, gas supply lines, hydraulic fittings, and compression-style plumbing connections. The limited-rotation ratcheting action is especially useful in tight equipment cabinets, behind panels, and in congested mechanical rooms where swing clearance is minimal. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and refrigeration mechanics are the primary users of this tool.
Designed for use with SAE flare fittings, compression fittings, and tube-style fasteners commonly found in HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
This tool is used by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and refrigeration mechanics when servicing or installing flare and compression fittings. Always recover refrigerant and isolate the line set before loosening refrigerant connections. Shut off water supply or gas supply as required by the applicable code before working on compression or flare fittings in those systems. Do not use the wrench on standard hex fasteners in place of a standard combination wrench, as the jaw geometry is optimized for tube fittings.
