The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWISSXTM413 is a 1/2 inch drive, 13 MM, 6-point Flextension — an integrated drive extension and socket combination engineered for engine and heavy equipment manufacturing, assembly, and repair. Unlike standard ball-retained socket-and-extension setups, the socket is permanently fixed to the extension via a TIG-welded retention pin, eliminating the risk of the socket separating during continuous operation. The drive end features a 7/32 inch cross hole bevel for easy attachment, and the unit allows up to 30 degrees of angle offset to reach fasteners in restricted spaces. Maximum working torque is rated at 160 ft-lbs (1,920 in-lbs / 217 Nm).
This Flextension is designed for use with hand tools and power tools, including impulse and direct-drive tools. It is not rated for impact tool use. The SUPERTORQUE lobular socket opening applies turning force to the flat faces of a fastener rather than the corners, reducing the chance of fastener deformation under high torque loads. A durable black oxide finish provides corrosion resistance in shop and field environments. This tool is well suited to professional mechanics, heavy equipment technicians, and assembly line workers who need reliable fastener engagement without stopping to reseat a socket.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch drive hand tools and power tools (impulse or direct drive). Not compatible with impact tools. Other lengths and socket sizes are available by special order.
This Flextension should be installed and used by qualified mechanics or equipment technicians familiar with 1/2 inch drive tooling. Confirm the tool is rated for the application torque before use — maximum working torque is 160 ft-lbs. Do not use this extension with impact wrenches or impact drivers, as it is not designed for the sudden shock loads those tools generate. Inspect the TIG-welded retention pin and socket for wear or damage before each use.
