The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWISSXM910 is a 1/2 inch drive, 10 MM, 6-point Flextension — an integrated drive extension and socket assembly designed for engine and heavy equipment manufacturing, assembly, and repair. Unlike standard ball-retained socket-and-extension combinations, this unit features a TIG-welded retention pin that permanently joins the socket to the extension, eliminating the risk of separation during continuous power-tool operation. The socket opening uses a SUPERTORQUE lobular profile for increased turning power with reduced fastener deformation. Maximum working torque is rated at 160 ft-lbs (1,920 in-lbs / 217 Nm). Weight is 0.7 pounds.
The JHWISSXM910 Flextension is suited for production and maintenance environments where repetitive fastener work demands reliable socket retention. Common applications include engine assembly lines, heavy equipment service bays, and fleet maintenance shops. The integrated design is specifically built for use with hand tools and power tools running impulse or direct drive — this product is not rated for impact tool use. The drive end includes a 7/32 inch cross hole bevel for straightforward engagement, and the flex joint allows up to 30 degrees of angle offset to reach fasteners in restricted locations.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch drive hand tools and power tools operating in impulse or direct drive mode. Not compatible with impact tools. Other lengths and socket sizes are available by special order.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified mechanics or assembly technicians familiar with drive tool systems. Verify the drive tool is powered down or de-energized before attaching or removing the Flextension. Do not exceed the rated maximum working torque of 160 ft-lbs. This tool is not approved for impact tool use — using it with an impact driver may cause premature failure or injury.
