The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWISSXM615 is a 1/2 inch drive Flextension — an integrated drive extension and socket assembly sized at 15 MM with a 6-point lobular opening. Unlike standard ball-retained socket and extension setups, this unit features a TIG-welded retention pin that permanently joins the socket to the extension, eliminating the risk of the socket disconnecting mid-use. Rated to a maximum working torque of 160 ft-lbs (1920 in-lbs / 217 Nm), it handles demanding fastening applications with consistent power transfer. The drive end includes a 7/32 inch cross hole bevel for easier alignment and engagement.
Flextensions are used extensively in engine assembly, heavy equipment manufacturing, and mechanical repair environments where continuous, uninterrupted tool operation is critical. The up-to-30-degree angle offset capability allows access to fasteners in restricted or awkward positions. This tool is designed for use with hand tools and power tools running impulse or direct drive — it is not rated for impact tool use. Sold individually.
Designed for use with hand tools and power tools using impulse or direct drive mechanisms. Not compatible with impact tools. The 1/2 inch drive size is standard across a wide range of professional hand and power tool platforms.
This tool is installed and operated by mechanics, assembly technicians, and heavy equipment service professionals. Before use, confirm the fastener size matches the 15 MM socket opening and that the drive tool is not an impact-rated unit. Do not use with impact wrenches or impact drivers, as this tool is not designed for impact forces. Inspect the TIG-welded retention pin and lobular opening for wear before each use in high-torque applications.
