The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWISSXM1018 is a Flextension drive extension with an integrated socket design, combining a 1/2 inch drive extension and an 18 MM, 6-point socket into a single, non-removable assembly. This tool is built for engine and heavy equipment manufacturing, assembly, and repair environments where socket separation from the extension would interrupt workflow. The retention pin is TIG welded to the drive extension, delivering full rotational power to the socket. The integrated construction eliminates the play and disconnection risk common with standard ball-retained hand-tool sockets. Maximum working torque is rated at 160 ft-lbs (1920 in-lbs / 217 Nm).
This Flextension is suited for use on hand tools and power tools including impulse and direct drive tools. It is not rated for impact tool use. Applications include production-line fastening, engine assembly, and heavy equipment repair where continuous, reliable torque transfer is required and tool downtime from dropped or separated sockets is unacceptable. The 7/32 inch cross hole bevel on the drive end assists with quick attachment, and the unit supports up to a 30 degree angle offset for reaching fasteners in tight or angled locations.
Designed for use with hand tools and power tools (impulse or direct drive). Not for use with impact tools.
This Flextension should be installed and operated by qualified mechanics or assembly technicians familiar with torque tool systems. Do not exceed the rated maximum working torque of 160 ft-lbs. Never use this tool with an impact wrench or impact driver, as it is not rated for impact use. Inspect the TIG welded retention pin and socket engagement before each use and remove from service if any damage is observed.
