The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWISFXT418 is a Flextension socket extension combining a drive extension and socket into a single integrated unit. The socket retention pin is TIG welded to the drive extension, eliminating the risk of the socket separating from the extension during continuous operation. Rated for a maximum working torque of 160 ft-lbs (1,920 in-lbs / 217 Nm), the JHWISFXT418 features a 3/8 inch drive and a 9/16 inch socket size. The drive end includes a 7/32 inch cross hole bevel for easy installation, and the unit allows up to 30 degrees of angle offset. Licensed HVAC technicians, mechanics, and assembly technicians working in engine and heavy equipment environments rely on this tool for sustained productivity.
Flextensions are designed for use with hand tools and power tools, including impulse and direct drive tools. They are used extensively in engine manufacturing, heavy equipment assembly, and repair applications where continuous fastening without socket loss is critical. The integrated non-removable design suits production-line environments and shop repair settings where downtime from a dropped socket is not acceptable. Note that this tool is NOT rated for impact tool use.
Designed for use with hand tools and power tools using impulse or direct drive mechanisms. Not compatible with impact tools. Other lengths and socket sizes are available by special order.
This Flextension is intended for hand tool and power tool use only — do not use with impact wrenches or impact drivers. Before servicing equipment, power down the machine and follow all applicable lockout/tagout procedures per OSHA standards. Ensure the drive end is fully seated and engaged before applying torque. Do not exceed the maximum working torque of 160 ft-lbs.
