The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWISFXT412 is a Flextension — an integrated drive extension and socket unit designed for professional use in engine and heavy equipment manufacturing, assembly, and repair. Unlike standard hand-tool setups, the socket is permanently joined to the extension, eliminating the risk of the socket disconnecting mid-task. The 3/8 inch drive, 6-point socket features SUPERTORQUE lobular openings that grip fastener flats for increased turning power while reducing fastener deformation. Maximum working torque is 160 ft-lbs (1,920 in-lbs / 217 Nm). Finished in black oxide for durability, this unit is built for continuous, reliable production and service work.
This Flextension is suited for assembly lines, engine shops, and heavy equipment repair facilities where maintaining drive-to-socket engagement under repeated use is critical. The 3/8 inch drive size fits a wide range of professional hand tools and direct-drive or impulse-type power tools. The drive end includes a 7/32 inch cross-hole bevel for easy tool engagement. The integrated design supports up to 30 degrees of angle offset, providing access in confined or angled fastener locations common in engine bays and equipment frames. This tool is NOT rated for impact tool use.
Designed for use with 3/8 inch drive hand tools and direct-drive or impulse-type power tools. Not for use with impact tools. Compatible with standard 3/8 inch drive tool setups used in engine and heavy equipment manufacturing, assembly, and repair applications.
This tool is installed and operated by professional mechanics, assembly technicians, and equipment service technicians. Verify that the tool used is a hand tool or direct-drive/impulse power tool — impact tool use is not permitted with this Flextension. Inspect the TIG-welded retention pin and lobular socket opening for wear before each use in high-cycle production environments. Follow applicable torque specifications for the fastener being driven; maximum working torque for this unit is 160 ft-lbs.
