The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHWISFX620 is a Flextension — an integrated drive extension and socket unit designed for demanding industrial environments. The 3/8 inch drive, 5/8 inch, 6-point configuration features a TIG-welded retention pin that locks the socket permanently to the extension, eliminating the risk of socket separation during continuous operation. With a maximum working torque rating of 160 ft-lbs (1,920 in-lbs / 217 Nm) and up to 30 degrees of angle offset, this tool handles engine and heavy equipment assembly work where a standard extension-and-socket combination would be a liability.
Flextensions are used extensively in engine manufacturing, heavy equipment assembly, and mechanical repair applications. The integrated design increases productivity on production lines and in shop environments where fastener access is restricted and workflow cannot stop for dropped or disconnected sockets. This unit is rated for use with hand tools and power tools including impulse and direct-drive types. It is not rated for impact tool use. The 7/32 inch cross-hole bevel at the drive end aids engagement and positioning during use.
Designed for use with 3/8 inch drive hand tools and power tools including impulse and direct-drive tools. Not compatible with impact tools.
This Flextension is intended for use by mechanics and assemblers working on engines and heavy equipment. Before use, confirm the drive tool is set to the correct torque range and that the fastener size matches the 5/8 inch socket. Do not use with impact wrenches or impact drivers, as the integrated socket is not rated for impact loads. Inspect the TIG-welded retention pin and drive end for wear or damage before each use.
