The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS JHW-56 is a 56 oz deadblow hammer designed for controlled-impact striking applications in mechanical and trade work. Deadblow hammers use a hollow head filled with shot or sand to eliminate rebound on contact, reducing hand fatigue and minimizing workpiece damage. At 3.748 pounds overall, the JHW-56 delivers substantial striking mass while keeping the blow concentrated. It is suited for assembly, disassembly, and persuasion tasks where a steel hammer would mar surfaces or bounce unpredictably.
This hammer is used across a range of trade applications including HVAC equipment installation, plumbing rough-in and fixture setting, electrical enclosure work, and general mechanical assembly. The no-rebound characteristic makes it particularly useful when driving components into tight clearances or seating fittings without damaging threads or sealing surfaces. It is sold individually and is appropriate for shop use as well as field service.
Designed as a general-purpose deadblow hammer for use in mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical trade applications where no-rebound impact work is required.
No power source or lockout procedure is required for this hand tool. Always inspect the hammer head and handle for cracks or looseness before use. Use appropriate eye protection when performing striking tasks. Select the correct face hardness and head weight for the material being struck to avoid workpiece damage.
