The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS 501-I-MT2W is a torque sensor designed for use with the Multitorq portable electronic torque meter and data acquisition system. These sensors attach between sockets and a driver, transmitting live torque readings to the Multitorq display unit. Available in eight ranges spanning 2 to 20 inch-ounces up to 150 to 1500 foot-pounds, these sensors cover a broad spectrum of fastening applications. Accuracy is rated at 1 percent of reading across 10 to 100 percent of sensor range, with a 2 percent of reading tolerance for the 20 inch-ounce and 10 inch-pound ranges. Sensors are sold individually and are not bundled with the Multitorq meter.
These sensors are suited for mechanical, industrial, and trade applications where precise torque measurement and data logging are required. The Multitorq system accommodates sockets, extensions, universal joints, ratcheting drivers, and combinations of these tools, making the sensors compatible with a wide range of standard drive configurations. Typical users include maintenance technicians, service professionals, and quality control personnel who need verifiable torque data during assembly or inspection work.
Designed for use with the Multitorq portable electronic torque meter and data acquisition system, which supports selectable readout units including ft. lb., in. lb., in. oz., Nm, dNm, mkg, and cmkg.
Installation of torque sensors is typically performed by qualified mechanical or service technicians. Ensure the Multitorq meter and all associated drive tools are free of damage and properly seated before use. Follow the sensor manufacturer instructions for mounting the sensor between the socket and driver to ensure accurate readings. Do not exceed the rated torque range of the selected sensor.
