The WILLIAMS COMFORT PRODUCTS 5005622 is a 50,000 BTU input natural gas floor furnace designed for residential spaces where a forced-air system is impractical or unwanted. It delivers 35,000 BTU of heat output with a thermal efficiency of 70 percent and an AFUE of 58 percent. The unit requires no electricity, operating on a standing pilot ignition and millivolt wall thermostat control, making it functional during power outages. A continuous-seam welded combustion chamber, jet-tube burners, and a heavy-duty baked enamel steel floor grille are standard. A licensed gas technician performs the install, and the unit is designed for straightforward field servicing with an accessible combustion chamber.
The 5005622 is suited for residential remodels, new construction, and space-constrained applications where a blower-driven system is not viable. It installs through the floor, requiring a floor opening of 22.5 inches wide by 32.5 inches long. The floor grille measures 24 inches by 34 inches and is compatible with hardwood, carpet, and tile surrounds. This model is factory configured for natural gas at elevations up to 2,000 feet above sea level. A separate liquid propane conversion kit (49210) is available. A high elevation kit (49800) is required for installations above 2,000 feet and is sold separately. A millivolt wall thermostat is required and sold separately.
The 5005622 is a natural gas floor furnace compatible with millivolt wall thermostats sold separately. Liquid propane conversion is available using kit 49210. High elevation installations above 2,000 feet above sea level require kit 49800, sold separately.
Installation must be performed by a licensed gas technician in accordance with local codes and the applicable requirements of the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off the gas supply at the service valve before beginning any work on the unit. The B-Vent flue system must be properly sized and terminated per code; verify the 4-inch vent connection is compatible with the existing or planned venting arrangement. A millivolt wall thermostat is required and must be wired and located per the manufacturer instructions — it is not included with the unit.
