The WILKINS nr3xlduc-114 is a cast bronze, double union, female NPT pressure reducing valve (PRV) rated to 400 psi and sized for 1-1/4 inch pipe connections. It reduces incoming water supply pressure to a safe, stable level, protecting downstream plumbing fixtures, water heaters, and piping from excessive pressure. The valve features a cartridge-loaded internal design and an integral stainless steel strainer screen. Maximum rated temperature is 140 degrees F. Licensed plumbers install this valve on residential and light commercial potable water systems. Its compact, short lay-length body fits in tight mechanical spaces where larger valves would not clear.
The nr3xlduc-114 is suited for inline installation on potable cold water supply lines in residential and light commercial applications. The double union configuration allows the valve body to be removed for cartridge service without cutting pipe. Tailpiece options include threaded, PEX, copper sweat, and CPVC connections, reducing the need for additional transition fittings at the install point. The valve body style is inline, and the recommended application is water service. The threaded bell design resists corrosion and provides direct access to cartridge internals for routine maintenance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation PRV for 1-1/4 inch potable water supply lines in residential and light commercial plumbing systems requiring pressure regulation up to 400 psi.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the main water supply and relieve system pressure before removing any existing valve or installing this unit. Verify flow direction arrow on the valve body is oriented correctly with the supply side upstream. Do not exceed the rated maximum temperature of 140 degrees F or the rated maximum pressure of 400 psi.
