The WILKERSON MXP-95-987 is an activated carbon adsorber replacement element rated at 0.003 micron, designed to remove hydrocarbon vapors, odors, and oil mist from compressed air lines. It fits inside the Wilkerson M16 adsorber filter housing and is a direct service-replacement component rather than a standalone filter assembly. At 0.003 micron, the carbon media targets trace-level contaminants that standard coalescing elements leave behind. This element is installed by instrumentation technicians, industrial maintenance mechanics, and pneumatic system technicians working on compressed air treatment trains where downstream equipment or processes require clean, dry, odor-free air.
This adsorber element is suited for use in industrial compressed air systems where air quality is critical, including spray finishing, food-grade pneumatic lines, laboratory air supplies, and sensitive instrumentation applications. It seats directly into the Wilkerson M16 adsorber filter housing as a routine maintenance replacement. Replacing the element at scheduled intervals maintains system air quality and protects downstream equipment from hydrocarbon contamination.
Designed for use with the Wilkerson M16 Adsorber Filter housing as a replacement element.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with compressed air treatment systems. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air supply before opening the filter housing or handling any filter element. Follow the M16 housing manufacturer instructions for element removal, seating, and bowl reassembly. Dispose of spent carbon elements in accordance with local regulations, as the used media may contain absorbed hydrocarbons.
