The WILKERSON MXP-95-502 is an activated carbon adsorber element rated at 0.003 micron, designed to remove oil vapor, hydrocarbons, and odors from compressed air lines. It installs directly into the Wilkerson M35 adsorber filter housing and serves as the replaceable filtration media within that assembly. The carbon media adsorbs contaminants that standard particulate or coalescing elements cannot capture, making it a critical stage in multi-stage compressed air treatment systems. Licensed pipefitters, industrial maintenance technicians, and pneumatic system specialists are the typical installers of this element type. Weight is 1.67 pounds.
This element is suited for use in compressed air purification systems where downstream equipment or processes require oil-vapor-free, odor-free air. Common applications include spray finishing, food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical production, laboratory air supplies, and any pneumatic system where air purity standards must meet ISO 8573 or similar specifications. It is intended for installation in the M35 adsorber filter housing and should be used as part of a properly staged filtration train that includes pre-filtration to protect the carbon bed from liquid water and bulk oil.
Designed for use with the Wilkerson M35 Adsorber Filter housing as the replacement activated carbon adsorber element.
Installation should be performed by a qualified industrial maintenance technician or licensed pipefitter. Depressurize and isolate the compressed air line before opening the filter housing and replacing the element. A pre-filter coalescer should be installed upstream to remove liquid water and bulk oil before air reaches the carbon bed, as liquid contamination will rapidly exhaust carbon media. Follow the M35 housing manufacturer guidelines for element seating and housing torque to ensure a proper seal.
